Dynamic Design Journal

Editorial policy

Dynamic Design Journal aims to make design choices easier to understand. We distinguish explanation from opinion, make claims in proportion to what can be supported and correct meaningful errors openly.

Accuracy and context

Writers should check factual claims against suitable, identifiable sources and provide enough context for readers to understand their limits. Comparisons should describe the criteria being compared; an example should not be presented as proof of a universal rule. We do not invent testing, interviews, credentials or research.

Independence

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. A partner does not get to decide our conclusions, and a placement is not a recommendation. We do not imply that a product or service has been tested when it has not.

Corrections

Readers can report an error through the Contact page. We review specific, relevant correction requests and amend material when warranted, making substantive changes clear to readers where the format allows.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner-supported material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where they are, they are identified as illustrative rather than documentary.

Our point of view

Good design deserves a second look.

A clean appearance is not proof that something works well. We look at the decisions underneath, including whose needs were considered and whose were missed.
